I am a strong supporter and friend of Nana Akufo-Addo and I told him, while we were both students at Lagon that he would be voted to the position of President of Ghana. I told him this in 1968, before we graduated at Lagon, and we are about to see history made. This man is Ghana's future.

Our Leader’s Charisma

I was thinking what is the one thing that makes Nana Akufo-Addo so much better equipped to be President of Ghana; I thought for a moment and I concluded his charisma; yes he has a great mind, yes he can see the future better than we can, yes he knows what Ghana needs now, and as it develops into the First World economy he will lead Ghana into, but his charisma is his salient political advantage.  Charisma comes from a Greek word which means to rejoice and certainly Ghana must rejoice that it has a leader with the caliber and background of Nana Akufo-Addo. But charisma is a spiritual gift and a spiritual talent that is thought of as being divinely granted, in other words it is a gift from God that only a very few have, that all politicians wish to have, but 99.9% do not have. It is a gift from God that only men like Mendela, Nkrumah, Martin Luther King, Gandhi and Buddha had. It is a spiritual gift, a token of grace and favor given by God; it is the magic of leadership which engenders a special popularity and enthusiasm (a rejoicing) from those who have been struck by the leader’s magic, who believe in the leader who possesses that special magnetic charm, who is able to bring forward political solutions that are intrinsically correct, yet above the leader’s gift of charisma. Ghana has been given a gift; a man with the charisma to draw success to Ghana. Nana Akufo-Addo can make Ghana and the Ghanaians who support him, and believe in him, successful.

                                  Be BIG

Nana Akufo-Addo has asked us to think BIG, that is, to “Believe In Ghana” and that is what all of us should do. It is our time to be BIG, really BIG; as supporters of a man who will be a great President of Ghana; we cannot let ourselves be brought down by an opposition who desires power more than they desire democracy or equality, or democratic rule, or in truth, success for Ghana. The best way to become BIG is to believe you are BIG, that you are a Believer In Ghana. Nana Akufo-Addo is a BIG man, follow him; believe in him; believe in truth, believe in democracy, believe in your success and the success of the country. Those who vote NPP, those who vote for Nana Addo must stay away from those leaders who seek power just to satisfy their own personal desire for power. Nana Akufo-Addo has told us he will lead Ghana into the brave new world of a First World economy. If you are truly BIG, if you believe you belong in a First World economy, if you truly believe you are ready to become bigger than you have ever been; if that is what you truly want. The NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo are ready to lead you to that Promised Land. The NPP voters desire a good, strong country; they want a vibrant future; they want good jobs and good pay and a country that will invite successful businesses to itself through integrity.
